Honda Insight for UK undercuts the Prius

Last week at the Detroit Motor Show, Honda revealed its Prius-challenging Insight Hybrid, and has today revealed details on the UK/Euro version. The new Insight, which utilises a 1.3 litre petrol engine with 88bhp, coupled with a 14bhp electric motor to give a 0-60 of just over 12 seconds and 113mph, has very low Co2 of 101-105g/km (which means just £35 VED – but if only they’d shaved that a smidge it would have been a freebie) which is very creditable. Honda has the Prius firmly in its sights with this car, and it aims to comfortably undercut the Prius on price.
BMW i3 caught playing in the snow. Just a few weeks on from the launch of BMW’s new “i” sub-brand, and we have the first spy photo of the BMW i3 out and about in the Scandinavian snow. It seems BMW were busy filming this quite heavily camouflaged i3 for BMW TV when it was snapped, so it seems likely we may be seeing some video soon.
The Bugatti Type 46 Profilee - the latest 'New' Bugatti! One of the big treats was the first public view of a ‘New’ Bugatti T46 Profilee. One of only two T46 Profilee bodied cars known to exist, the chassis on this car has never been used on the road since manufactured in 1931.
